The Asylum has quickly become a rider favourite among everyday core riders. The next generation 2015 Asylum delivers magnified flex performance through its premium Atomic Wood Core, aggressive pop and outstanding flex plus unmatched durability.

The full wood core releases stored energy and more forcefully than ever through increased edging power while maintaining momentum on flat landings. Engineered to ride with or without fins, this board pops hard on ollies, whips for hard-core freestyle, slides right on rails and even boosts big off any wave.

With Slingshot’s unique blend of channels combined with a new rocker profile allows any riding-style to excel on this board. The 3-D molded wood core delivers aggressive pop and outstanding flex plus unmatched durability. The Chined Plane Rail combined with new Asylum outline prevents spray by focusing the water down and away from the rider while providing smooth turns and maximum maneuverability.

Exclusive innovations include Slingshot’s Columbia Gold wood core, SingleShot Fusion Sidewall, Resin X, Fastrack and Custom Culture Graphics. Whether its ultra smooth flat-water conditions to knee high kickers, the 2015 Asylum will be the one stop ticket for the rider requiring massive pop and control in any condition and any style of riding.

Slingshot have maintained the rocker and outline from previous boards, but added Twin Channels to enhance edging and pop. When you add these features to Slingshot’s new construction you get a light weight, responsive, hard core freestyle board that can take the abuse of every session.

After experiencing the benefits of Slingshot’s proprietary core technology FRT*, used in the Slingshot wakeboards, the Asylum incorporates this feature into his kiteboard.

Columbian Gold Wood Core:
Made in Slingshot’s own wood shop with “100% Columbian Gold”. It has the highest compression response ever used in a kiteboard. It has half the glue weight and absorbs less resin weight. The entire core offers great power, optimum stability, smooth flex and great pop.

Progressive Rocker:
Rider friendly rocker that fits all riding styles no matter if you rider with straps, joint shoes or boots.

Elliptical Concave:
Concave bottom shape designed to optimise edge-to-edge response.

Taperwall:
A step-down rail delivering optimum edge control, ultimate handling in choppy water, impact resistance and added stability at speed. From the belly of the board, it tapers off in thickness acting as a molded fin when the board is on edge.

Double V-Molded Channels:
Optimised dual channels for cleaner take-offs, smoother landings, better response and added stability.

Chined Plane Rails:
Designed to completely redirect spray away and down, this feature reduces the area of contact between the board and surface of the water. It also offers a smoother slide on obstacles and helps prevent catching an edge on sketchy landings.

Bio Sensor:
Uses a more subtle vertical lamination and machining process to give the core more feel, stability, and forgiveness in all conditions.

Fastrack:
Slingshot’s proven proprietary mounting system offering endless stance options and a superior rider to board connection. Another industry first!

Single Shot Fusion Rail:
Slingshot now use the same technology found in skateboard wheels, to the rail of their boards. This industry first for kiteboards improves the overall dampening of the board and increases rail durability beyond anything available anywhere. Innovative manufacturing process literally fuses the rail in to the board in one single shot. No staples, tape, glue or seams. The rail literally is one piece of perfection.
