New for 2015, the Misfit now features precision laser cut NACA TECH channels. Engineered to provide a rider controlled flex and pop, the Misfit will satisfy the needs of any rider. With the addition of a precision laser cut NACA Duct channels, Slingshot took freeride performance to a whole new level. Like a vacuum, the NACA Duct channels water from the middle of the board to the tip. The directed water accelerates through the channel and increases the board speed and grip to the water. The benefits to the rider are increased edge control and reduced drag through the water. Hand built in our U.S.A. factory, the Misfit features the highest-quality and greenest materials available on the planet.

The new 2015 offers a new outline, deck profile and Twin Channels, for more edging capability, consistent load with flex control, excellent upwind drive, and insane pop. With a weight reduction of 0.5 lbs (110g), the Misfit is designed by Tony Logosz and Slingshot’s top PKRA riders, Andy Yates and Eric Volpe.

The Slingshot Misfit 2015 is now built with Slingshot’s proprietary FRT* core construction delivering insane responsiveness, grip and massive pop! The Crossover Misfit twin tip has unforgiving characteristics like massive pop, drive, power and hook up any freestyle rider will appreciate.

The Misfit rides smoothly through chop without spray, and offers the most versatility in all conditions. Exclusive innovations include Radio Active POP Core, SingleShot Fusion Sidewall, Resin X, Fastrack and Custom Culture Graphics.

The addition of the full wood core and step down side wall construction also adds to maximize strength and overall durability.

Columbian Gold Wood Core:
Made in Slingshot’s own wood shop with “100% Columbian Gold”. It has the highest compression response ever used in a kiteboard. It has half the glue weight and absorbs less resin weight. The entire core offers great power, optimum stability, smooth flex and great pop.

Bio Sensor:
Uses a more subtle vertical lamination and machining process to give the core more feel, stability, and forgiveness in all conditions.

Fastrack:
Slingshot’s proven proprietary mounting system offering endless stance options and a superior rider to board connection. Another industry first!

Resin X is the lowest VOC resin available in the market. New science in resin technology also makes Resin X is the greenest resin made today. The factory electricity is produced by locally produced wind power. No airborne solvents are used in the manufacturing process.

No plastic top sheet material. Slingshot has made a commitment to eliminate plastic top skins made from oil. Hopefully this new age of bio resins will reduce the need to invade small helpless countries so we can enjoy our sport.

Single Shot Fusion Rail:
Slingshot now use the same technology found in skateboard wheels, to the rail of their boards. This industry first for kiteboards improves the overall dampening of the board and increases rail durability beyond anything available anywhere. Innovative manufacturing process literally fuses the rail in to the board in one single shot. No staples, tape, glue or seams. The rail literally is one piece of perfection. Resin X:
